About Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law was established at Educounselor to promote the ideals of social integration and independent thought, and to develop equality among scholars and students. The faculty has established its own library to disseminate knowledge with the provided materials that meet international standards. The department also has a fully equipped Moot Court, where Moot Court sessions and competitions are regularly organized, as well as classes, projects, term papers and outreach programs.

The department provides students with an environment that helps them develop an analytical approach to law and enables them to become leaders in their chosen profession and provide public service to help society as a whole. Knowledgeable, experienced faculty, an excellent library and e-resources, and a world-class infrastructure provide the perfect environment at the College to help a student become a good lawyer with strong moral and ethical traits.

We believe that continuous improvement in competency and innovation is at the heart of the education system. We provide students with a variety of learning aids and facilities to make them proactive and competent academic professionals. Students are exposed to practical teaching opportunities and relevant communication skills to help them gain confidence in their abilities. We believe that an academic professional should be willing to change and improve the established conventions of teaching.

Ability to learn the art of communicating and demonstrate their oral advocacy skills. A client-appropriate presentation of the facts and the ability to persuade with legal arguments are the nuts and bolts of communicating in court
Communicate rights and responsibilities and apply these values to real life through legal and judicial processes to promote the common good.
Apply ethical principles and commit to adhering to professional ethics, responsibilities, and standards of common legal practice.
Understand the impact of professional, legal solutions in social and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge and need for sustainable development.

Programme Specific Outcome : -

Understands the standards of conduct associated with the practice of law and demonstrates the values of the legal profession. This teaches ethical responsibility to clients in a legal system.
Develops the ability to analyze, synthesize, and disseminate a large amount of complex and disparate information that encompasses legal and non-legal aspects of the operation of the entire system.
Develop the ability to draft various pleadings, petitions, briefs, and letters in proper English format and with clarity. Students will therefore learn the skills of collaboration, negotiation, and consultation for the ethical implementation of the legal system.

Overview : -

The Bachelor of Legislative Law is a 3-year degree programme designed for students who wish to pursue a career in legislative law. The programme covers topics such as evidence law, tort and consumer protection law, criminal law, employment law, human rights and international law, legal writing, civil procedure, property law, land law, criminal procedure, corporate law, administrative law, contract law, jurisprudence, environmental law, constitutional law, professional ethics, family law, arbitration, mediation and alternative and more. Candidates are also given extensive project assignments and internships to enhance and cultivate their analytical thinking for solving practical problems. After the course, candidates can work as legal services managers, legal managers, lecturers, prosecutors, attorneys, legal consultants and more.
